This bug is no longer relevant. Changes to the port design mean that there are no line-translation arguments in the socket code.

I just downloaded 7.7.90 to test the line translation change in socket operations. It works well. I forgot initially that "\n", not #f, was the way to ensure that no translation was done.

May I suggest changing the documentation for `open-tcp-stream-socket' and `tcp-server-connection-accept' explicitly to mention using "\n" to turn off line translation? Right now, it says "If this is unspecified or #f, then lines will be terminated by CR-LF...", but that doesn't make it clear that lines that are already terminated with CR-LF will also be modified. (At least, it seems that that was what was happening to me.)
