Sun 21 May 2023 02:26:31 PM UTC, comment #6: Hold off until I release another version later today. The next release will fix two Makefile bugs, and will add three Unicode Plane 3 glyphs to unifont_jp.hex (two Chinese biang glyphs and one Kanji Taito glyph). I will close this bug after that release.

Sun 21 May 2023 01:46:56 AM UTC, comment #3: This is unchanged in the Unifont 15.0.02 release. However, none of the Japanese glyphs have changed except for double-width CJK characters in the range U+FF00..U+FFEF and open and close vertical parentheses in that were incorrectly drawn as tortoise shell vertical parentheses in earlier Unifont versions.

Thu 29 Sep 2022 02:42:42 PM UTC, comment #1: I will see why this was not installed in preparation for the next release. In the meantime, the file should be the same as font/precompiled/unifont_jp-15.0.01.hex in the main tarball. Also, font/compiled/unifont_jp-15.0.01.hex is created with a full make, invoked as

To build debian's bterm-unifont package (that is one of debian-installer component), we need /usr/share/unifont/unifont_jp.hex file but latest version drops it.

This is now fixed in Unifont 15.0.03.
Also in Unifont 15.0.03, the file unifont_all.hex is now installed in the $(PKGDEST) directory at the request of the gaming community. unifont_all.hex spans all Unicode planes. In a future release, I might add the Chinese characters to unifont_jp.hex that do not have equivalent Kanji in Plane 2.
Thank you,
