I've implemented spillover for dotting notes. It applies only to single dotting of a note where the cursor is in appending position.

What you can do is, before dotting a note look at the Denemo Cursor; if it's red then enter a tie and a duration but if it is blue dot the note.

Well it's particularly useful for me as i am transcribing from a score which has multiple time signatures in each staff, so i'm never sure when a note needs to be tied into the next bar or not.

In fact, dotting any note will not trigger spillover.
I think Denemo could be programmed to do this fairly easily so this might be a nice feature - as it is you need two keystrokes (tie and duration) to do the equivalent of dotting on a note that already fills a bar.
