David,

I thought that you had drawn the original Duployan glyphs.  I forgot that I was the one who had drawn them.  I made all of your changes for now.  I'll take another look for the Unifont 13.0.01 release next year.

I built Unifont 12.1.04 last weekend, as I had planned.  There was a glitch in uploading to ftp.gnu.org though.  I thought it had been taken care of, but my re-attempt today did not accept all files (the attempt last weekend was interrupted by a dropped connection).  As a result, the best place for sources for this release are at

http://unifoundry.com/pub/unifont/unifont-12.1.04/

and font files are in

http://unifoundry.com/pub/unifont/unifont-12.1.04/font-builds/

This was a very minor release and with the breakage in uploading to ftp.gnu.org, I do not plan to broadcast Unifont 12.1.04's availability yet.

Thank you,

Paul Hardy

David,

Thank you.  I will incorporate these into the next release.  It will be after September.  I would like some time to see if the new Japanese glyphs generate any feedback before creating another release.

I improved some glyphs in Duployan:

U+1BC5B DUPLOYAN LETTER OU is a closed loop, not a circle with a dot.

I centered U+1BC68 DUPLOYAN LETTER SLOAN AN and U+1BC69 DUPLOYAN LETTER SLOAN ON, and centered the dot of the latter relative to its main stroke.

The hook of U+1BC7B DUPLOYAN AFFIX ATTACHED I HOOK should be as big as the hooks of U+1BC7A DUPLOYAN AFFIX ATTACHED E HOOK and U+1BC46 DUPLOYAN LETTER I. Its dotted line should be aligned with the part of the hook that joins to the previous letter, i.e. the top right.

I centered the affixes U+1BC84, U+1BC90, U+1BC91, U+1BC92, and U+1BC94.

The glyphs of U+1BC88 DUPLOYAN AFFIX HIGH VERTICAL and U+1BC98 DUPLOYAN AFFIX LOW VERTICAL should be shorter than that of U+1BC02 DUPLOYAN LETTER P. I also removed the arrows. They are redundant: no other Duployan characters look the same but are written in the opposite direction. They are misleading: both affixes can be written in either direction depending on context.
