Actually, this bug report is duplicate with #1721.

Technically, TeXmacs does not crash. Its windows just disappear (probably going in a pocket of the X Window space-time continuum) but the application keeps running.

This problem is well known (I can reproduce everytime here with KDE). We just lack someone with the required skill and time to fix it.
