This will be fully turned on in the next version og phpGW. For now, I have committed a fix for the the index page that will allow the correct date to display.

in phpgwapi/inc/functions.inc.php, line cca 706, there is disabled creating global object datetime. all is working fine without it except calendar, which start at 1.1.1970, because in calendar/index.php is calling non-initialized 'datetime' member functions. it is for some purpose or it is only mistake?
