Lets move the HR discussion to the dev list

Well, i havent had a look at hr and really, i probably wont.

HR is a very good idea and i think its important to have this kind of front end, but its most important part (correct me here) is the hability to link contacts to accounts.

That is phpgwapi's default behaviour for now on, its all in contacts, add a person, adds a contact by itself, delete a person, contact goes away. Admin can do this by using his admin screen.

How do people then browser the company directory then? Well, you will be able to designate a user that owns the contacts that account/contact link and use its acl or, by default, the admin owns the contact and you can also set permissions with his addressbook acl. One more will be permited, that by default users own their own addressbok entries, thus making it all a matter of makjing that contact public and permitting access to their addressbook.

If anyone of you use HR for other things, tell me what are those and i will consider supporting it as yet another front end (i REALLY dont want to).

Else, i dont know who the mantainer is, but we will be glad to help him in changing the way his app works to be compatible with the new backend.

Just a quick question for RC2, will hr still be used? If so will you guys be making it work with the new contacts backend?

Also limit() is a deprecaded method in class.db.inc.php, you should be using limit_query - see the phpdocs in the class for more info :)

Adressbook is not working ... class.contacts_sql.inc.php limit() function doesn't exist.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: limit() in /usr/share/phpgroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.contacts_sql.inc.php on line 606
