When editing a big table, retypesetting the entire table is small (this is normal; for the moment TeXmacs cannot do incremental typesetting for table contents), so the response time on keyboard events can be large. However, when typing many characters in a row, the keyboard events should be regrouped and treated together. The X11 version had a mechanism for this, but this only seems to work partially for the Qt version.

I fixed this problem myself. It would still be beneficial to implement a 'table_bridge' in order to speed up interactive table editing even more.
