Please do support hibernation.
At boot grub behaves as if a sudden power failure have been occured. (recordfail returns 1, menu shows up, booting is delayed for 30 seconds) But it was a normal, intended hibernation (from a lightdm menu).
(Hint: grubenv, recording "boot success". Possibly recorded (falsely) a failure; or was not (yet) recorded (but should have been) a success.)
My linux is: recent ubuntu with xfce.
