The keyword is case sensitive. Your report says the examples finish with "endFunction", but they actually complete with "endfunction"

Try something simple on the command line

And then run it by typing "myfunc" at the command line.

Documentation on https://www.gnu.org/software/octave/doc/v4.0.3/Defining-Functions.html shows examples on how to define functions. Each of these examples finishes with the "endFunction" keyword.

In 4.2.1 on Windows this keyword does not work, instead however the "end" keyword does work. This looks like a bug in the documentation.
