Yeah. Chances are, I made all these letters myself, and simply overlooked the distinction in the serif version. Slanted tails seem a reasonable way to distinguish them from the little descender.

In all styles of FreeMono and FreeSans, the Cyrillic tail looks the same as the Cyrillic descender: ⟨ҊҋӅӆӉӊӍӎ⟩. The tail should be diagonal whereas the descender is vertical.
