Closing report. I agree, wait for an RC and see if the problem is repeatable.

I don't get the segfault with default either.

I build with MXE-Octave hg id 5bd49b8168a2.
I forgot to mention that I had to update openblas to version 0.2.20 because 0.2.19 doesn't build on my hardware. That could be the culprit. (But it works fine when I use that version for a build from the default branch.)

If no one else is seeing this error, I don't mind closing this report. I guess I'll wait for an RC of Octave 4.2.2 (if there will be one) and run the test suite with that one.

Works for me as well, with
./configure
--enable-devel-tools
--enable-windows-64
--enable-octave=default
--enable-binary-packages
--disable-system-opengl
--enable-qt5

Works for me. This is with MXE-Octave hg id

from 11/21/17.

I have slightly different config options as I use --disable-windows-64.

I cross compiled the current stable branch (hg id 1ad2297f8ece) and tried to run the test suite on Windows. This crashes the GUI and leaves the octave-gui.exe process hanging at 25% processor activity on a quad-core.
The command that is causing this is:

Querying only one output doesn't lead to a crash.

I did a clean checkout of the Octave and mxe-octave sources and configured Octave with

For mxe-octave I deleted the src/stable-octave-2-appid-version.patch because it no longer applies, and configured with:

When I attach "gdb", I see the following backtrace just before the crash:
