This is difficult to reproduce, but I've seen it happen four times now. I'm searching for something and am slowly typing a series M-W, and then, suddenly, even when the searching has stopped and the cursor sits on the found occurrence, the message "Searching..." stays put on the status bar. I use --quickblank, so it will disappear on the next keystroke, but it's not right.
