Hi Richard,
currently I cannot make the Denemo 2.2.0 run.
If I call the "Denemo.bat", I get the messages concerning
the three font files, a moment the start cascade of Denemo's windows
is displayed, but nothing more happens. The Task Manager shows that
no process or application "denemo" is started.
I guess it's a problem with my computer,
because I saw that after the restart not
all processes have been restarted that should be.
I had partially to do it manually.
B/c I have currently no time to follow the problem,
I'll will - in the meantime - continue to use the version 2.0.4,
which works very well for me.
Thanks for your valuable and immediate response.
I'll come back to you if I have time to go into the matter.
Best Regards,
Reinhard

Actually I could activate version 2.2.0 as well following your advice.

You would have been invited to keep them had you not run the new version before rebooting. By running the new version, before it crashed it had written the default settings for the new version. Now when you run the new version it sees you have already got settings so doesn't offer to re-load your earlier ones. In other words, you have a slightly tricky situation as a knock-on effect.
But all is not lost ...

Yes, there is a folder (directory) of settings which is named
.denemo-2.2.0
in your home directory (something like C:\Users\reinhard)
You can either delete that and re-run the 2.2.0 version when you will be asked about keeping the older settings (they are in .denemo-2.0.4, as Denemo never deletes old ones). Or you can cherry-pick files from there (in particular palettes.xml could be copied over as I think that would save having to chuck out ones you don't want, though you would miss any new default palettes).

Hi Richard,
thx for four quick response.

My problem that remains:
I want to use my customizations (keyboard shortcuts, extended palettes)
in the new version too:
How can I transfer them to the new version?
Is there a file which can be copied or something else ?
Thx in advance.
BTW:
I like your great software very much;
it helps me currently to type all Haydn string quartetts as Lilypond code.

I think you would have found that a restart of Win7 would have got your 2.2 version working, and it has a lot of improvements. Windows has problems with newly installed fonts, and in the worst case it causes Denemo to crash on startup, so re-booting after installation is a must on windows.
If you want to try out 2.2 you can use the portable zip version, that does not require installing nor rebooting.

no more a problem.
A Restart of Win7 solved the problem.

Sorry for all the typos.
Subject must be
Articulations in notes are no more shown properly
The articulation, which is not shown properly,
is "staccatissimo".

Hi,
my PC runs under Win7.
I today installed denemo 2.2.0, but could not get it run.
So I went back to my current active version 2.0.4 on
my PC, that works well for me so far.
But now in the notes the "staccatisso" (for example) is no more shown with the proper symbol, but with a sqare bracket.
(see appended file)
What is wrong ?
Perhaps a problem with the characterset ?
Best Regards,
Reinhard
