The fix is contained in the gettext-0.20 release.

To answer your question, I've pushed a change that adds copyright headers:
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gettext.git;a=commitdiff;h=981c523ddbd1462970335a1069573ca3bdd3df5e

  • po/gsequencer.pot

Your POT file is a derived work of your package. xgettext only did mechanical extractions and transforms. Therefore it is under the same copyright as your package. This is consistent with line 3 of this file.

  • po/ChangeLog
  • po/POTFILES.in
  • po/stamp-po

These files were automatically generated. They do not have copyrightable contents.

  • po/Makevars.template

This file should not be committed in a VCS. It is merely the template from which you created the Makevars file.

  • po/Makefile.in.in
  • po/remove-potcdate.sin

These files now have a copyright header with license information.

  • po/Rules-quot
  • po/Makevars

These files now have a copyright header with an all-permissive license information.

  • po/quot.sed
  • po/boldquot.sed
  • po/en@quot.header
  • po/en@boldquot.header
  • po/insert-header.sin

These files are now covered by the copyright header of Rules-quot.

Hi,
In view of a submission to savannah.gnu.org I have a need for information about copyright and licensing of generated files by GNU gettext.

The Advanced Gtk+ Sequencer library is licensed under the terms of the GNU GPLv3+ and AGPLv3+. What compatible license am I able to redistribute the files mentioned here:

http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/gsequencer.git/tree/README?h=1.1.x#n176

Best regards,
Joël
