The headstroke of many of the Kannada glyphs curls up and around to the left. This overlaps some vowel signs and the candrabindu. My suggested glyphs’ headstrokes only curl up one pixel.

I have made changes. I am leaving Indic scripts as double-width, including Kannada. Although with the current glyphs there might not be a need for such hard-coding, a glyph could be created in the future that would not encode as double-width when it should.
