I have made changes. I am leaving Indic scripts as double-width, including Kannada. Although with the current glyphs there might not be a need for such hard-coding, a glyph could be created in the future that would not encode as double-width when it should.

Sat 19 Aug 2017 09:45:39 PM UTC, original submission:

The headstroke of many of the Kannada glyphs curls up and around to the left. This overlaps some vowel signs and the candrabindu. My suggested glyphs’ headstrokes only curl up one pixel.

The teardrop descenders are inconsistent. Some are two pixels long, some three. I suggest two, to leave a gap between the descender and the main part of the glyph.

Some of the base glyphs are not centered within the left 12 columns. (There are 4 columns for a vowel sign.)

Some of the base glyphs are shorter than others: the horizontal part of the headstroke should always be in the fifth row.

U+0C80 KANNADA SIGN SPACING CANDRABINDU is wider than it is shown to be in its Unicode proposal.

U+0C81 KANNADA SIGN CANDRABINDU is larger than it is in its Unicode proposal. It should be also be raised to avoid touching base glyphs.

U+0C82 KANNADA SIGN ANUSVARA is too small, and it and U+0C83 KANNADA SIGN VISARGA overlap vowel signs. They should be removed from plane00-combining.txt.

U+0C8E KANNADA LETTER E is missing a pixel at the bottom right.

U+0C9F KANNADA LETTER TTA should not have ascenders.

The right sides of U+0CA1 KANNADA LETTER DDA and U+0CA2 KANNADA LETTER DDHA and the middle of U+0CB9 KANNADA LETTER HA should connect to the top.

U+0CB6 KANNADA LETTER SHA should be narrower.

U+0CBD KANNADA SIGN AVAGRAHA should not have so much space after it.

U+0CBE KANNADA VOWEL SIGN AA should start at headstroke height and be taller.

U+0CBF KANNADA VOWEL SIGN I should be shifted right to look better with wide consonants. U+0CC0 KANNADA VOWEL SIGN II should be changed to match.

The length mark part of U+0CC0 KANNADA VOWEL SIGN II should be consistent with U+0CD5 KANNADA LENGTH MARK and U+0CC7 KANNADA VOWEL SIGN EE.

U+0CC3 KANNADA VOWEL SIGN VOCALIC R, U+0CC4 KANNADA VOWEL SIGN VOCALIC RR, U+0CC8 KANNADA VOWEL SIGN AI, and U+0CD6 KANNADA AI LENGTH MARK should have descenders.

U+0CCC KANNADA VOWEL SIGN AU should be shifted right for the same reason as U+0CBF and should be as tall as U+0CBE.

U+0CCD KANNADA SIGN VIRAMA should be shifted right, because it is not an above-base mark, and it should be shifted down, so touches the headstroke.

U+0CEC KANNADA DIGIT SIX and U+0CEE KANNADA DIGIT EIGHT should not have ascenders.

U+0CED KANNADA DIGIT SEVEN and U+0CEF KANNADA DIGIT NINE are off center.

U+0CF1 KANNADA SIGN JIHVAMULIYA and U+0CF2 KANNADA SIGN UPADHMANIYA have dotted squares in the Unicode code chart because they have special clustering behavior. Since they can also stand on their own, I think they should not have dotted squares in a font.

U+0CF1 KANNADA SIGN JIHVAMULIYA should be taller.

Some of those glyphs are 1 cell wide. None of them is 2 cells wide with a blank right cell: there is no need for the special case for Kannada in unibmp2hex. I hypothesize that the reason the avagraha (the only such Kannada glyph in the current version) has a blank right half is that it was meant to be narrow but unibmp2hex widened it.
