Check out patch #4936. It lets the selected users in the project's employee list to view private projects.

the db error got fixed. the missing private acl access level is a feature request, not a bug. please add it as a feature request again. thanks

looking at the preference 'Grant Access' and the ACL slelect box (same page I assume) where most applications have Read|Add|Edit|Delete|Private as access levels, Projects is missing private.

After assigning a Project the check box 'Private' it disappears (as it should) but when requesting in Projects to view 'only private' i recieve the following error:

Database error: Invalid SQL: SELECT * from phpgw_p_projects WHERE coordinator=50' AND access='private' AND status != 'archive' AND parent=0
MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' AND access='private' AND status != 'archive' AND parent=0')
