In FreeMono, ⟨≨⟩ doesn’t match ⟨≦⟩: it is lower, the equals sign part is squashed, the less than sign part has thinner strokes, and the less than sign part is squashed. The same difference holds between ⟨≩⟩ and ⟨≧⟩.
In FreeSans, ⟨⪙ ⪚ ⩳⟩ have squashed equals signs but ⟨≦ ≧ ≅⟩ don’t.
In FreeMono, ⟨⩳⟩ still has a squashed equals sign.

In FreeMono, ⟨⪙ ⪚ ⩳⟩ have squashed equals signs but ⟨≦ ≧ ≅⟩ don’t. ⟨≶ ≷⟩ are squashed but ⟨⪓ ⪔⟩ aren’t, even though the latter are taller.

In FreeSerif, ⟨⪓ ⪔⟩ are so tall they can overlap glyphs on adjacent lines. They should be squashed.
In FreeSans, ⟨⪙ ⪚⟩ are squashed but ⟨≦ ≧ ≨ ≩ ⪟ ⪠⟩ are not.
In FreeMono, ⟨⪇ ⪈ ⪝ ⪞ ⪙ ⪚⟩ are squashed but ⟨≦ ≧ ⪟ ⪠ ⪓ ⪔⟩ are not.

In FreeSerif, I foud U+2a97-8 and U=2a9d-e. The former was also in FreeSans.

I could give a rationale for the FreeMono example.
The other isn't right.
Let me know what other examples you see.

Many of the fonts include squashed versions of mathematical glyphs which are stacked to make characters like ⟨⪉⟩. However, the glyphs are squashed inconsistently. For example, in FreeSerif ⟨⪇⟩ is squashed but ⟨≤⟩ is not, and in FreeMono ⟨⪋⟩ is squashed but ⟨⪑⟩ is not.
