Submitted to scintilla as https://sourceforge.net/p/scintilla/bugs/1902/

After the fix has been added to scintilla, it will make its way into qscintilla sometime after when they next merge.

I will probally add the patch to the mxe-octave version of qscintilla.

I just pulled the latest scintilla code and it does the same there. It needs to be fixed there before it will find its way into qscintilla.

I'll take a look and post the bug# here for info

Thanks for your bug report. This has been previously reported, see bug #48913.

In summary, the interpreter is correct, the editor highlighting rules are incorrect.

The issue is in Qscintilla and would need to be fixed there, as I told the previous reporter. I have no idea if that has been done, but once it is fixed in a released version of Qscintilla, then it will be highlighted correctly in the Octave editor.

If some text is present after the first block command sign '%{' or '#{' the block is executed.

Run the following code:

#{ some text
disp ('this is executed');
#}

#{
disp ('this is not executed');
#}

In the editor the makeup (green font) suggest that both blocks will not be executed, and I suppose that is what shall happen.

Regards,

Olaf.
