It will be hard to prevent all crashes of this type, although I agree that we should work hard in order to capture as many problematic cases as possible.

I realize that the style program in the preamble is incorrect. But it should not produce a core file, but instead, should produce an error message that can help me in the direction of the correct syntax for what I'm trying to do...
