Please test binaries:
http://denemo.org/downloads/denemo-2.1-0.darwin-x64.tar.bz2
or (if on 32-bit and not already tested)

Well, I've no personal experience of the Mac terminal, but I see that there is a lot of hits from search engines for getting a terminal open on a Mac.
Once open you would need to navigate to the directory (folder) containing the denemo executable (this will be the thing you click on to launch Denemo normally). (I presume cd <folder> is the command for that)
Once there I would guess the command
./denemo
would launch Denemo and the output would appear in the terminal.

I assume you mean the bundle that you mentioned on Feb 4, http://denemo.org/~jjbenham/gub/uploads/denemo-2.0.14-gtk3-darwin-x86.tar.bz2
- correct?
Can you briefly instruct me how to retrieve the terminal output?
Thanks!

Hi Richard,
Thanks for this!
I did try to run it today on my Macbook with Sierra. Unfortunately, it still does not run successfully (at least for me).
FYI, The installer you shared on Dec 23 did work overall, although there were some strange behavior's in the app, (compared to when I run it on Windows). For example, (if I recall correctly) sometimes when hovering the menu's in Denemo, the cursor would disappear... so I'd have to drag away from the menu and back to get it to work.
Thanks,
Shawn

A new package is available for 2.0.14
This is an app bundle so it does not require installation. Please test and report back!

I have created another installer for mac os. Find it here:
http://denemo.org/~jjbenham/gub/uploads/denemo-darwin-gtk3-2.0.14.dmg
This time launch it by typing in:
denemo.sh

No one has reported success so far. Thank you for testing out if installing denemo.ttf, feta.ttf and emmentaler.ttf as a separate operation would work.
Another test would be to modify the font preference in
~/.denemo-2.0.13/denemorc
in that file you will find:
<fontname>Denemo</fontname>
changing this to another (installed) font might possibly work. (If you have never run 2.0.13 successfully this file will not exist, in which case it needs to be created - attached is an example that would be ok to use.

Hello,
Has anyone been able to get Denemo to run successfully on Mac Sierra? I tried to install the Denemo fonts, but Denemo still does not run for me on my Macbook with Sierra.
Thanks for your help,
Shawn

This has also been reported on the mailing list. FWIW some suggestions about fonts below:

That could account for the difference - the bug reported involved
someone already using Denemo (by the sound of it), so the fonts may be
there somewhere. I've just read that fonts on MacOS Sierra are stored
below
/System/Library/Fonts
So it might be good to have a look in there for the Denemo fonts
(denemo.ttf, feta.ttf, emmentaler.ttf) and install them if they are not
present.

Thanks for testing this. Hopefully Jeremiah (who builds that binary) may
have a clue as to what is going on.

Upgraded to macOS Sierra and now Denemo either won't open at all or when it does, the menu items are boxes instead of letters. Something wrong with the fonts?
