Yes. The output looks identical to what SPSS produced.

Does this mean this item can be closed?

Unfortunately I can't recall where I got this from. It must be from a user.

I tested it again. EXECUTE is not necessary when used from a .sps command file.

print OUTFILE='test2.txt'.
gives as result a file which looks empty but has only
(hex) 20 0D OA
for every record. So a space for every line.

When I add /ALL I get the same output as from
print OUTFILE='test2.txt' TABLE /ALL.
This command gives visible output.

The current dataset is not changed between.

I don't think it'll do anything unless you follow it with EXECUTE.

On MSWindows:

PRINT OUTFILE='O:\2016 Jobs\305616\tabulation\305616layout.txt'

Gives no error in the output window and an empty file. I would say that is a bug.

PRINT OUTFILE='O:\2016 Jobs\305616\tabulation\305616layout.txt' TABLE /ALL.

Gives output in the output window and an empty file. I would say that is a bug.
