So I'm closing this as invalid, the package is still maintained.

Alexander, let me know when you stop maintaining it and I will move it to the unmaintained section. The package will remain available for download, all of its versions. It is just removed from the list of packages with big icons at the top and instead appears at the bottom on the list of unmaintained packages.

I still use the ocdcdf package myself and the last bug-fix release was 7 months ago. But I do not use octcdf for any new projects and I progressively migrating my code to the octave netcdf package.
So technically octcdf is still maintained (but obsolete). But I will probably stop to maintain it once I do no longer use it myself (and since octave netcdf package has much more functionalities).

I think the octcdf package is still maintained in that it will continue to work, it's just that future development will happen on the netcdf packages which is Matlab compatible. Indeed, there was a recent release of the octcdf package.

At least that is my understanding, I'm adding the packaging maintainer to CC for comments.

According to the description of the octcdf package: "This interface is obsolete. Please use the netcdf package instead (possibly in combination with ncarray)."

I think that the entry for octcdf should be moved from the maintained packages list into the unmaintained section at the Octave-Forge website.
