When vim finds a lockfile, it offers several options, of which "Edit Anyway" means: leave the lockfile alone. But if nano would do that (for "Yes, continu"), then the lockfile would stay there forever. So that is not an option. And I don't want to complicate that menu with more options, which would require more explanations, which would require a whole extra small window. So... forget it.

To reproduce, run 'nano README' in one terminal, then run it in another terminal too, say Y to continue (and thus ignore the existing lock), type ^X in that second terminal and run 'nano README' again. It opens the file as if there is no other instance open -- because when closing the file, it deleted the existing lock file.

Expected behavior: like vim, it should only delete a lock file when it created this lock file itself. (When doing the above exercise with vim, no matter how many times you close and reopen README with vim in the second terminal, it will still see that there is another instance of vim editing the file. Only when closing the vim in the first terminal is the lock file deleted.)
