Closing because this is not a bug report. Please post any questions like this to the help mailing list (http://www.octave.org/support).

Questions like this are best sent to the maintainers' mailing list. I think you need to subscribe to post, but you can do that at https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/octave-maintainers.

Also, if you want an email reply from this bug tracker, you need to leave an address.

Just to clarify, do you observe any crash from Octave itself, or only if you combine it with your own Fortran code?

Dear octave developers,

I have some Fortran code which can generate floating point exceptions. Those exceptions are caught in C++ by means of sigsetjmp/siglongjmp/sigaction. You can find example code in the attached file (fpe_div.cc).

That code worked in octave-3.8.1 and it works still on Linux with octave-4.0.0. But now it is broken on Cygwin with octave-4.0.1. Similar code which does not link to octave's librarys (sigfpe.cc, fpelib_for.f90) still works on Cygwin.

Is there a save way to catch floating point exceptions in Fortran code?
