To reproduce, run 'src/nano --ignore NEWS'. Then type:
M-G 1 ^V

The ^V means: go to end of file. But what nano does instead is: interpret the 1 and go to the first line.

Expected behavior: a ^Y or ^V should ignore whatever was typed at the prompt.

Bug is old, existing since at least nano-2.2.1.
