Ok, in the LilyPond window it says at the bottom that it has found two \marks at the same moment and is junking one. So this is a problem with understanding and documenting the use of marks.
Experimenting with this I see that you can put the default rehearsal mark in every part at the same moment without it complaining and without it printing them more than once. It is when you try to put a different mark at the same place that it complains. That does make sense, since in the first case it is the same mark you have asked for twice and so you will get what you asked for, in the second case one of them will be missing.

Two further wrinkles - you seem to have created the mark RIFF1 with an older version of Denemo which has a bug preventing it being edited - re-make it with the current version. And, the warning about multiple marks is only given when manually typesetting - in continuous typesetting errors are ignored, since they may only be temporary, during the course of an edit.
I've updated the help for the command.

I just copied and pasted the RIFF 1 to the lower parts without a problem. Can you add the score where it refuses to typeset to this bug report please.

BTW Add Mark is a directive not attached to a note, so in the Directives->Marking ... menu

I have a rehearsal letter, and also a marking RIFF 1 made with the Add Mark in Notes > Markings. I've tried adding the RIFF 1 marking in the lower parts too, but it's always coming up with an error message in Print View, but score check says there are no problems. I want the RIFF 1 mark to appear above the chords. I'm probably not going to separate the parts, but it's possible I will print the two parts separately.
