The attached file is part of expat, passed through gcc with -save-temps to make it self-contained. This command works:
gcc -Wall -O2 -DXML_NS -DXML_DTD -c -o xmltok.o xmltok.i
But this command:
cscc -x c -Wall -O2 -DXML_NS -DXML_DTD -c -o xmltok.o xmltok.i
creates the following error on my debian linux (2.4.20) box:

stdin:13768: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting "integer value" or "identifier" or "single-quoted string"
(null): exited with signal 11
