Closed as there was no more negative feedback.
The remaining issue is one of Gorm.

Hi Greg,

could you please check, if Richards changes to the key equivalent handling resolved this bug as well?

I tried with a simple window with just one button in Gorm and there assigning "return" seems to work. It is still a bit strange that you have to press ALT-"return" to get it working, but ALT is the standard key equivalent modifier and perhaps Gorm does not set this to 0 for the special keys.

This seems like a problem in AppKit. The shortcut is being properly set in the button, but it's not being correctly acted on when the user hits return in the running app. GJC

When saving and reading in the gorm file the "Return" value is saved. This is determined by the value of the keyequivalent on the button object itself. It is possible that this is a WindowMaker issue. I am investigating this further. GJC

1) Add a button to the GUI and select it. Go to the pulldown an select "return".

2) Then try to use this in a program.
