I've uploaded a working (=with stable & dev Octave) io-2.4.1.tar.gz to the package release tracker yesterday.

In the mean time the function "octave_config_info()" (changes of which were the culprit) has been changed again, but io-2.4.1 will work fine AFAICS.

Closing report.

I see that octave_config_info's output has changed still more in the last weeks.
I've fixed it to the current state of octave_config_info on my laptop.
As I'm away from home this week Iĺl push the fixes later on. Hopefully for this bug report no more changes will come about.

Status => in progress

octave_config_info was in a state of tranistion so to say :-)

A few weeks ago I have changed a few fields in PKG_ADD and (IIRC) some private functions to catch newer Octave dev version for io-2.4.1. That io pkg release is pending, it is being tested by Avinoam but I haven't heard from him yet (nor did I have time to put it on the release tracker).

As I'm away this week with other priorities (uhm, holiday :- ) I'll have a look when I'm back (in March) if yet more changes are required. Then I'll make a new release.
The fixes are already in the repo in Octave-Forge, you can pick them up from there => status set tp "Ready for test"

Release => dev

Oh, and I've tagged this wrong. It's the default branch, not stable.

I think this is due a55b8ece1ecd which changed:

after "pkg -forge install io" io fails to load with

This is because PKD_ADD Line 5 tries to use

Should this be "build_features"?
