Thanks for the bug report. This is a Mac OS packaging system bug, not a bug in Octave itself.

You might want to report this against the appropriate homebrew repository

I have trouble installing package requiring fortran, as the fortran library is not found.

mkoctfile -p FLIBS sends me to the folder:

> usr/local/Cellar/gcc/5.3.0/lib/gcc/5/gcc/x86_64-apple-darwin15.0.0/5.3.0

Which does not exists. On my computer I have a:

> usr/local/Cellar/gcc/5.3.0/lib/gcc/5/gcc/x86_64-apple-darwin15.2.0/5.3.0
