Hi,

I obtain the same result as the one you attached and good news it is the expected result: the first and second columns of M represent the y data of the two lines while x data default to 1:3. If you are trying to plot three dimensional data then try "help plot3".

I tried plotting a matrix as a graph, and, unfortunately the default graph does not appear to be representative of the data.

Perhaps this has something to do with QT Handles the package that is used by 'plot'. Parameters within the fmt parameter appear not to be indicative of what the documentation illustrates a revision is suggested.

I tried:
M=[1,2;2,4;3,6];
plot (M)
Then I tried changing the format of the graph, but found no options to enhance the graph and no options to make it look like it has 3 dimensions either, I am not sure this is supported by plot as there is no indication in the 'help' documentation i.e. the documentation that shows up when I type help plot.
