Searching the internet I came across

http://forum.gtkd.org/groups/GtkD/thread/57/

from which I created the attached settings.ini file
Installing this in

C:\Program Files\Denemo\usr\etc\gtk3.0

(I'm working from memory now, so that might not be quite right)
I restarted Denemo and the font is much crisper.

Jeremiah - could this be incorporated into the build?

Reading a little about this (I've never heard of Cleartype until now) my guess is that what I see is what you see, but you know that better is possible.
Do you by chance know how things can be improved? The windows binaries for Denemo are built with Gtk3

Hmm, that is very curious, your screenshot viewed with the default viewer on my Debian system shows menu bars with text labels that seem entirely unremarkable. (Curiously just one label Edit is translated into German).
What happens if you choose Bearbeiten->Change Preferences->Miscellaneous and choose another font and or size (you may have to re-start Denemo to see the effect).
Which version do you have?

Please use different fonts on win32. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the fonts are barely readable. Also Cleartype (subpixel rendering) should be activated by default, TFTs being the standard today.
