The print part of your comment is a known bug.

the way around it is to turn off the "visible" mode
before print. Use: set(gcf(),'visible','off');

Then set(gcf(),'visible','on') after print.

Confirmed it.

I also can't save plots. Since it might be related, I also posted it in the other bug report.

The following script fails immediately:

Maybe it helps.

Can you confirm the crash using a polar plot as in bug #45863 ? If so can you post there all the information associated to your hardware/software and the fact that polar is not the only crash case?

Hi,
thanks for your reply.

You're right. I'm using Intel Graphics HD 5500 hardware as well as mesa driver:
extra/mesa-libgl 10.6.7-1 [installed]
extra/mesa 10.6.7-1 [installed]

I also agree, that it looks similar too the bug you posted.

Hi,

Thanks for your report. There is already a bug report that could be similar to yours (bug #45863).
Could you provide details about your graphics hardware and the opengl driver you use? It looks like with Intel Graphics HD 5500 hardware, mesa driver is a little crashy.

Steps to reproduce:

I) Create a file with the following content:

II) Clicking 2-3 times in the plot (like when you explain someone the plot) results in Octave crashing with "octave exited with signal 11"

Using:
- Arch Linux x64 (extra/octave 4.0.0-3 [installed])
- Octave 4.0.0
