(I had given up finding a solution, so I reported a bug, to not forget about it. But as I'm about to check in all my fiddlings which resulted in a near rewrite, I suddenly see the problem.)

Fixed in SVN, r5362. And the rewrite followed in r5363.

To reproduce, 'LANGUAGE=en nano --ignore', type ^G ^V ^V and reduce the window width to 56 or 55 columns, and see how "Invoke the linter, if available" is indented wrongly.

In the ^G help texts, when a function is not bound to any key, and the description of the preceding function is one or two positions shorter than the screen width, nano will indent the description of the unbound function with just one tab instead of two. Weird!
