To reproduce: insert an image using default size and position, then try inserting a negative offset like "-2cm" in X or Y line edit boxes in the toolbar: nothing happens. (Positive offsets work.)

A look at source code of document shows that the negative dimension gets wrapped in "<plus||-2cm>" that is subsequently not recognized as a negative dimension. The problem is in the parsing of the line edit input.

Note that a negative offset entered right in the "insert image" dialog box works fine.
