Yes this has been fixed fine in octave-4.0.1.

Is this fixed in the 4.0.1 Windows installer?

If not, where does it need to be fixed?

BTW, given the questions in the help-octave ML (where this was reported), is the PKG_ADD command also included in the patch? That file is still in the io package.

AFAICS all spreadsheet-related .m files from inst/ and the col2num/num2col from src/ are missing from the io package in the binary 4.0.0 Windows installer.

I suppose this is a consequence of JWE's pending patch to move those functions to core Octave?
