Fixed for me with cset 5c2564643de4 (introduced with 17542843a20b)

The first failing cset is 20171 "Default uicontextmenu visible to 'off' (Bug #44939)".

@Andreas: Is it enough to call refresh() to get the plot to look correct, even if that is only temporary?

This bug should also reference bug 44916.

@Pantxo: Have you found the cset? I'm on Debian Jessie and can see the same behaviour. Plotting with FLTK is fine, and with Qt is looks like there is no redraw call. For example if I move a other window above the plot window and back I see content remaining in the qt plot window.

Fltk works fine. I am currently trying to figure out which cset introduced the issue on my computer. I am now at: cset 20170 is not good, 20175 is bad.

Does FLTK work, or is it all OpenGL based plotting?

I am currently at 20180:89616a98b02e. I can't produce any plot using Qt toolkit: the figure window contains garbage see attached screenshot. I see the same issue using default and stable.

I can eventually produce the figure by switching the toolkit as follows:

But any manipulation of the window (e.g. resize) or new plot will lead to garbage again.
