This appears to have been fixed in the latest octclip version.

Can this bug be closed?

@Juan:
OK, fair enough (as far as your position goes).

While oc_polybool isn't bad, there are other and superior clipping functions around that may fit in geometry; but I have to look up the license.

You can always ask, thanks.

There are some issues with openMPI that the author was not interested in solving.
Also, the author of octclip went back to his preference of having octclip outside of geometry.

So, I decided that dropping it support is the best for geometry.

oc_polybol is still available on the octclip package.

If I may ask, what's the reason for dropping oc_polybool? Lack of maintenance by the author? It seems to work fine.
IMO polygon clipping does fit very well in the geometry package.

In the yet-to-come mapping package release I'm occupied with, there's a (suggested) dependency on oc_polybool and some other functions (currently) in the geometry package.

Thanks,

I am dropping support for oc_polybol in the new package. I will forward this to the maintainer of octclip.
