I think that you already stated the solution to this in your bug report. GNUstep make supports both xxxInfo.plist and xxx-Info.plist (and also Info-xxx.plist for older versions of XCode). So if you need to have two separate files you may use xxx-Info.plist for XCode and xxxInfo.plist for GNUstep.

It is not possible to state that no plist file should be merged, but are you really sure you need this?

A more interesting request would be support for variable replacement, as Apple seems to have it, before the plmerge. You could try to achive part of that via cplist files, but that mechanism isn't compatible to the one used by Apple.

Currently, any xxxInfo.plist (also xxx-Info-plist) file gets merged into the final resource plist with plmerge by gnustep make.

This can cause problems when one ports a project from XCode, since it may contain different values that GS doesn't know about (a lot of variable expansion, like: ${PRODUCT_NAME:rfc1034identifier} or ${EXECUTABLE_NAME}

It would be good to be able to specify which plist file to merge in (to be able to provide a alternative GS version) or none at all if not needed.
