Actually, the problem was too many warnings, not errors. There was a bug in the logic to truncate excess messages: The goal was if if there are too many diagnostics, we should prioritize the errors and skip excess warnings. The code erroneously skipped all warnings in this case, even if there were no errors.

I fixed the code. I re-wrote a good chunk of the relevant classes, to use java.lang.Appendable. A major problem was deciding when to emit Windows line-endings rather than "\n").

If a file contains the too many errors then kawa does not print any errors at all. Compiling the attached file doesn't produce
any messages, but after deleting foo51 many messages are displayed.
