Marking as "In Progress" rather than "fixed" as I still need to
commit one patch to complete the move from jet to viridis.

Octave now uses the viridis colormap by default which has better visual properties than the jet map. Marking as fixed and closing report.

Matlab has changed its default colormap from jet to parula [1]. Default line colors have also changed [2].

These colors are available in gnuplot[3].
