Commit "Fail when out of memory in set_hunkmax()" in version 2.7.2 fixes the segmentation fault, however it does not fix the insane memory consumption (8 GB on my 4 GB memory machine according to valgrind.)
Should be fixed in commit "Fail when out of memory in set_hunkmax()" now.
Got an other issue which output this before segfault: patching file util.h
Ran out of memory using Plan A -- trying again...
patching file util.h Segmentation fault
Use it as 'patch util.h --input crash.diff'.
(Note: upload size limit is set to 16384 kB, after insertion of the required escape characters.)
