It was introduced with this commit

Anyway just add 'cjkwidth off' to your screenrc and everything should work again. I checked with few ncurses apps and they seem to work correctly

cjkwidth on = Treat ambiguous width characters as full width
cjkwidth off = Treat ambiguous width characters as half width

I found that some ncurses programs such as dialog display abnormally when run in GNU Screen 4.2.0(see the attached file). After some test, I found out when I launch screen in zh_CN.UTF-8 locale, the problem will arise, and if I launch screen without
my system locale like 'LANG= screen', there's no problem.
