This is a duplicate of bug #42168

Matlab's imrotate function doesn't appear to accept the final extrapolation value argument.

This seems just a matter of changing the default value to 0. Does:

works as in Matlab?

The only reason I see for this difference would be consistency with interp2/3 but Matlab compatibility would be a priority now.

If you submit a patch for this, could you please also change the similar functions that are also using NA? I can see at least imremap and imperspectivewrap.

generates a matrix with many NA values. Matlab is documented to fill/extrapolate with 0. Perhaps there was a good reason for choosing to use NA instead of 0 for extrapolated values, but I think it would be helpful to be compatible with Matlab by default.
