On http://www.gnu.org/software/gsl/ in the section "Mailing Lists" is a link to the "GSL RSS Feed":
"You can also follow announcements via the Savannah GSL RSS feed."
That is actually an ATOM feed, but the real problem is that it is invalid:

The error is
"line 228, column 100: XML parsing error: <unknown>:228:100: undefined entity".
