Sorry, I don't know what happened, but the bugs mentioned in comment #5 are actually still there (+ it is impossible to save, nothing is actually written).

The workaround does not work.
1.0.7.21 seems fine.
I'm holding back the update to 1.99.4 for openSUSE.

Maxima 5.34.1 http://maxima.sourceforge.net
using Lisp CLISP 2.49 (2010-07-07)

Indeed, the workaround given in comment #1 has to be reapplied for 1.99.4.
Otherwise many strange things happen:
- The window can not be closed (the dialog opens, but nothing happen, whatever the button clicked, texmacs.bin has to be killed)
- inserting text fields above or below does not work (nothing happens)

The workaround seems fine. Patch attached, for convenience.

Maxima 5.28 is now almost 3 years old. I think we should really look into this...

The fix was reverted in commit

so the problem persists and we need a solution. Maybe Andrei Grozin has one?

I pushed the fix on the trunk.

Hi,

This is due to internal changes into Maxima, since the 5.32 release.

The workaround I found is the following:

In TeXmacs/plugins/maxima/lisp/, edit texmacs-maxima.lisp, line 25:

(defconstant texport standard-output)

Changing "defconstant" to "setq" worked for me. By the way, I am not a common-lisp guru and I don't know what should be done to properly fix the problem.

I assign the bug to Andrei, since he is the maintainer of the maxima plugin.

Hi,

When I start to input expression in a maxima session, it shows:

Maxima encountered a Lisp error:

No class named: CONDITIONS::INTERNAL-PROGRAM-ERROR.

Automatically continuing.
To enable the Lisp debugger set debugger-hook to nil.

It worked before a update, now the version of maxima is 5.32.1, and texmacs is 1.0.7.18. I use debian jessie. I have also tried the portable version of texmacs 1.99.1, same error.

The maxima is working when used directly.

Sincerely
Zhang Zhixiong
