Yes, works for me, push it. Tested in both maximized and normal windowed mode.

I can confirmed that when octave is in fullscreen mode. Obviously intorduced by my cset ea1db0ede4ce: the geometry isn't exactly restored when the main window is already shown. Could you please test the applied patch? It solves the bug for me.

I tried moving each of the three panels that are initially on the left side to the right position and the same problem occurs (file browser, history, and workspace). The initial width of the 3rd column in the layout is the same as the left column but gets wider with each restart of the program.

If I move all three to the right it keeps its width. If I then move one back to the left, now the left panel starts to get wider with every restart while the right stays the same.

Every time I start the GUI the file browser widget gets wider and wider, forcing the command window panel to get narrower and narrower.

I deleted my ~/.config/octave directory and started fresh. I dragged the file browser to the right of the command window. After each exit and restart of the GUI the width of the file browser gets larger and the command window gets narrower.
