Try e.g. to paste : <p>test \</p> or <p>&#92;</p> as html.

Try also the following scheme expression in a session:
(parse-xml "\\ &#92;")
(parse-xml "&#92; \\")

We should get:
(TOP "\\ \\")

And we actually get:
(TOP "\\ \"")
