The second patch fixes all the issues I described, i.e. using current directory browser or double click in file browser.

Trying to use "current directory" browser (magnifying glass button), and choosing a folder with french accents (here Téléchargements) results in an error :
If I manually write the path in the command window it works :
- "pwd" returns well scripted path
- in the top "Current directory" label I see weird characters in place of accentuated ones
The same same error is observed using the File browser windows if I double click on a Folder with accents. Interestingly, here the main label and the folders are well scripted.
